The Government have now announced their decision to seek tenders for two types of nuclear reactor. with the associated propelling machinery, suitable for installation in a 65,000 d.w.t. tanker. At this stage they consider that they are right to concentrate any assistance on the nuclear propulsion of surface merchant vessels. They will however keep in touch with proposals such as that to which my hon. Friend refers.
