§ Mr. MaclayConsultant psychiatric services, like other specialist services, are provided by the hospital authorities. All local authorities have medical officers engaged on mental health work: some are employed whole-time on this work,26W but most have other health duties. Local authorities also employ 91 educational psychologists and five psychiatric social workers full-time, and one psychiatric social worker part-time.
