§ Commander Purseyasked the President of the Board of Trade what is the number of new firms who have decided to build factories, and local firms who have decided to expand their factories, in the 12 months since he announced that Hull had been included in the Distribution of Industry (Industrial Finance) Act, 1958, for financial aid for industrial development; and what was the number of additional jobs created since 1st January, 1959.
§ Mr. MaudlingIn 1959 the Board of Trade issued Industrial Development Certificates for Hull to two new firms and for 36 extensions by local firms. These projects are expected to provide almost 1,000 new jobs.
