HC Deb 02 February 1960 vol 616 c124W
Lord Balniel

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will make a statement about the building of a post office in the White Lion Square, Hatfield, bearing in mind the inadequate service available at the moment.

Miss Pike

Tenders for the new building have been invited. A contract should be let in March and the building is expected to be completed about August, 1961. Meantime, we are increasing the staff at the existing office, St. Albans Road, adjoining White Lion Square, so as to improve the service to our customers there.
