HC Deb 21 December 1960 vol 632 cc190-1W
Mr. J. Foster

asked the President of the Board of Trade to what extent proceedings have been instituted by the Crown or any other person under Section 24 (7) of the Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1956; against whom such proceedings were brought; and with what result.

Mr. Maudling

Proceedings under section 24 (7) of the Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1956, have been instituted by the Crown in one case. In the Chancery Court on 25th July, 1958, the Board of Trade obtained satisfactory undertakings from officers of the Northern Council of Grocers' Associations. I am not aware of any proceedings under this Section having been brought by any other person.
