§ Mr. MaclayWhile there are some local difficulties, the recruitment of nurses in Scotland generally is satisfactory. In hospitals, nurses are able to make their views about working conditions known through their staff associations and the Joint Consultative Committees of management and staff; and, at the national level, my Department is in close touch with the nursing organisations These regular contacts make any special inquiry unnecessary.
