HC Deb 14 April 1960 vol 621 cc145-6W
Mr. Speir

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what arrangements were made by the Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis to ensure that ambassadors and other members of the diplomatic corps travelling from the direction of Kensington Palace and displaying special signs of identity were enabled to reach the Horse Guards Parade in time to witness the review of troops held there in honour of the President of France on the morning of 7th April.

Mr. R. A. Butler

I am informed by the Commissioner of Police that every effort was made by the police to ensure that persons attending the review were not delayed. The police are always prepared to facilitate, as far as possible, the progress of ambassadors' cars.
