HC Deb 13 April 1960 vol 621 cc131-2W
64. Mr. Holt

asked the Minister of Education when he intends to lay before Parliament proposals to implement the policy of Her Majesty's Government, as expressed in the Queen's Speech, with regard to the special attention required for the needs of the young in the society of today.

Sir D. Eccles

I would refer the hon. Member to the statements made in the debate on the Report of the Central Advisory Council (OFFICIAL REPORT for 21st March, 1960, col. 40 to col. 178) and to my statement on the Report of the Albemarle Committee (OFFICIAL REPORT for 3rd February, 1960, col. 999 to col. 1004).

We are pressing ahead with long-term programmes already approved by Parliament for the improvement of school buildings and the training of teachers.
