asked the President of the Board of Trade what action he is taking to attract firms to the industrial estates at Irvine and Kilwinning, in view of the continued high unemployment in these areas.

Irvine and Kilwinning are listed as development districts under the Local Employment Act, and the Board of Trade will continue to encourage industrial development there as in other places of high unemployment.
