asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what consultations he has had with the Herring Industry Board regarding the special difficulties at present facing them through increasing competition from imported fishmeal supplies; and what steps are being taken to ensure the continuing full use of their processing plants in Scotland.

I would refer the hon. Member to the Answer given by my hon. Friend to the hon. Member for Caithness and Sutherland on 16th February (Sir D. Robertson). The Government are at present reviewing the whole situation in consultation with the Board.
