52. Mr. Malcolm MacMillan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what action he intends to take, following his consultations with the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board, about the problems of those island and other areas not yet served with electricity supply.

As the hon. Member was informed on 23rd March last, my officials and those of the Board are examining the problem. Until the results of that examination are known, I cannot say what action may be appropriate.
