§ 60. Mr. Nabarroasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has received concerning coinage employed in connection with the sale of packets of cigarettes of popular brands from automatic vending machines; and what reply he has made.
Mr. AmoryI have received a small number of representations about the difficulty of modifying automatic vending machines following the increase in the price of cigarettes, including letters from an hon. Member, from the Automatic Vending Machines Association and from two machine manufacturers. I have taken note of these representations, but I am afraid that this is a matter in which I could not intervene.
