84. Mrs. Butlerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what estimate he has made of the number of houses which need to be provided in the next 10 years to provide separate homes for new households.
§ Mr. H. BrookeThe net increase in the number of households in England and Wales during the next ten years is estimated at some 850,000. At the present rate of house building, three times that number of new houses would be provided over the same period.
