asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what instructions he has given regarding the employment of Cypriots by the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes' establishments in Cyprus; how many Cypriots are so employed; and how many Cypriot former employees of the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes, discharged during the emergency, have not since been re-employed.

None. There are now 1,025 Cypriots of all races employed by N.A.A.F.T.; 336 Cypriots have not been re-employed.
