HC Deb 17 November 1959 vol 613 cc115-6W
109. Mr. Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the shortage of maternity beds in Fife; and what are the prospects for the building of a new maternity home.

Mr. Maclay

The Regional Hospital Board is now completing its review of the maternity services in Fife, and is shortly meeting local interested parties for this purpose. Thereafter it will be for the Board in the first instance to consider what action is required.
