§ 73. Mr. H. Hyndasked the President of the Board of Trade whether the Government have yet agreed to support the set-ling up of an international trade organisation as envisaged by the Havana Charter of 1948.
§ Mr. MaudlingWhen in 1951 it became clear that the United States would not ratify the Havana Charter, Her Majesty's Government concluded that there was no prospect of the International Trade Organisation being established and informed the House accordingly.
