§ Sir K. JosephVarious general statutes contain provisions controlling emission of fumes and I am sending the hon. Member a note of these. As regard noise some local authorities have powers under local Acts: failing those, the only remedy is by way of injunction. Local planning authorities take noise and air pollution risks into account when considering industrial planning applications.
