§ 46. Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how much has been saved annually as a result of the amalgamation of the Dorset and Somerset Agricultural Executive Committee services; and how this saving has been achieved, taking into account office accommodation and travelling.
§ Mr. GodberMy right hon. Friend is satisfied that economies have been secured by the more efficient use of staff, but it is impossible to give a precise figure. It was estimated in 1957 that the saving achieved would be approximately £10,000 per year and I have no reason to assume that this estimate has not been realised.
