§ 19 and 20. Mr. Ernest Daviesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) if he will give the estimated annual cost of remission of duty on hydrocarbon oil used in aircraft when flying on domestic routes;
(2) if he will give the estimated annual cost of the reduction by 1s. of the duty on hydrocarbon oil when consumed by aircraft flying on domestic routes.
§ Mr. ErrollRemission of the duty on oil used in civil aircraft would cost about £1½ million a year, and a reduction of the duty by a shilling would cost about £600,000.
