HC Deb 13 May 1959 vol 605 c148W
77. Mr.. Braddock

asked the Secretary of State for War why 23378995 Private P. Wilson, 14 Battalion, Royal Army Ordnance Corps, now in the guard room at Didcot, Berkshire, has not been discharged from the Army following a psychiatric report in September, 1958, and a medical recommendation for discharge on 3rd January, 1959; and what was the outcome of the inquiry into this matter held on 28th April, 1959, presided over by Captain W. J. Boreham, M.C., Royal Pioneer Corps.

Mr. Soames

The medical recommendation for discharge was mislaid. I regret that this should have happened and I am making close inquiries into the cause. Meanwhile, the balance of Wilson's current sentence is being remitted and he will be discharged from the Army.
