§ Mr. NugentThe number of vehicle licences issued by local authorities during the financial year ended 31st March, 1959, was 11,620.811 and the number of driving licences (substantive and provisional) was 9,811,894.
The total sum paid to local authorities during the financial year in reimbursement for the cost of issuing licences was £3 050,746.
