74. Mr. W. R. Williams

asked the Secretary of State for War the amount of barrack-room damages at D Camp, Donnington, Shropshire, in respect of which a sum of 1s. 6d. a week is being deducted from the rank-and-file of 522 Company, Royal Pioneer Corps; how long such deductions are to continue; and whether the soldiers concerned are informed of the net amount of damages involved.

Each man is being charged, in accordance with Regulations, one shilling a week until damage assessed at a total of £69 5s. 10d. has been paid for, probably by 22nd May. Details of the damage and cost have been published in unit orders.
