§ The Prime MinisterAs the hon. Gentleman is no doubt aware, the effect of strontium 90 is to deliver radiation and20W —since its life in human bone is long—to continue to do so. While the existing evidence does not permit a firm decision as to whether there is a threshold dose, there is no direct evidence that radiation from the minute amounts of strontium 90 in human bone has caused injury to any person.
