§ Dr. D. Johnsonasked the Minister of Health if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT particulars of the acceptance of a gift of a quarter of a million pounds from a voluntary body as a consequence of which a new Department is being set up in the South Eastern Region; what Department it is that has benefited in this way; and under what authority a gift of this nature has been accepted.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithHospital authorities have power to accept gifts under Section 59 of the National Health Service Act, but I am not aware of the acceptance of a gift of this amount in this area.
