HC Deb 03 March 1959 vol 601 c26W
60. Sir D. Robertson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many new schools, school extensions and housing schemes in Caithness and Sutherland were awaiting his approval on 7th February; and what is the total cost of all these projects.

Mr. Maclay

Two proposals for the provision of new secondary departments of schools at Dornoch and Goispie at an estimated cost of £320,000, and lay-out and house plans for 23 houses at Wick for which no estimate of cost is yet available, were awaiting approval on 7th February. The school proposals have since been approved, and the housing plans will be approved this week.
