§ 75. Mr. Nealasked the Paymaster-General what new markets for the export of coal have been opened during the present coal year; and what grades of coal are in most demand by overseas buyers.
§ Sir I. HorobinCoal export contracts normally cover the calendar year. In 1958 the United Kingdom resumed exports to the Argentine. While there is at present a surplus of most bituminous coals in the European countries where our main coal markets lie, the demand for anthracite grades has been better maintained.
