asked the Paymaster-General if, in view of the present unsatisfactory position with regard to coal distribution, and the fact that in areas like Uxbridge consumers are being asked to wait five weeks for delivery, he will reconsider his decision to relinquish all control of, or responsibility for, coal distribution.

No, sir. Reimposition of control over house coal supplies would not solve the problems that exist in some localities as the result of transport, labour and storage difficulties.
