§ Mr. RentonI regret that information is not available in the precise form requested by my hon. and gallant Friend. My right hon. Friend is informed by the Commissioner of Police that during the period from 5th May, 1958, to 3rd May, 1959, 26,081 vehicles were removed from the roads in the Metropolitan Police District under powers conferred by The Removal of Vehicles (England and Wales) Regulations, 1957. During the period from 1st May, 1957 to 4th May, 1958, 9,103 vehicles were removed.
