HC Deb 04 June 1959 vol 606 c41W
79. Mr. Beswick

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department to what extent the Metropolitan Police have considered the difficulties which would arise if a crib is placed in Trafalgar Square at Easter in connection with the World Refugee Year appeal.

Mr. R. A. Butler

The only proposal which the Commissioner of Police has had to consider is that a crib should be placed in Trafalgar Square at Christmas. I am at present in consultation about it with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Works.
