§ Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what methods are employed for the provision of school textbooks to pupils and teachers in Government schools in Tanganyika.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydProvision is made in the territorial budget for the purchase of textbooks and other classroom equipment. Textbooks are recommended to the Director of Education or are chosen by Syllabus Committees and by the Teacher Training Advisory Board. The Department of Education inspectorate regularly reviews the textbooks in use.
