§ Mr. Iain Macleod524 persons were registered as unemployed on 12th January, 1959, compared with 165 on 18th January, 1958. Of these 182 and 13 respectively were registered as temporarily stopped. Statistics about short-time working are not available for individual employment exchange areas.
