HC Deb 21 January 1959 vol 598 c24W
43. Mr. Parker

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will request the London Transport Users' Consultative Committee to inquire into the arrangements made to inform passengers on the District Line of any changes taking place in the operation of trains.

Mr. Watkinson

I have not felt is necessary to refer these matters to the Consultative Committee at this stage. They have been well ventilated in the Press and it is clear that the London Transport Executive are taking action to meet them. It is also open to passengers to ask the Committee to inquire into this matter. However, in the interests of the London travelling public, I have asked the London Transport Executive to keep me informed of what they are doing to meet these complaints.
