HC Deb 26 February 1959 vol 600 cc183-4W
Mr. Denzil Freeth

asked the Prime Minister what consideration he has given to the report published by the Atomic Energy Authority, entitled, "A preliminary survey of radiostrontium and radio-caesium in drinking water in the United Kingdom"; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. R. A. Butler

I have been asked to reply.

My right hon. Friend the Prime Minister has seen this report and, in accordance with previous practice, a copy has been placed in the Library of the House. It shows that the intake of these radio elements which is derived from drinking water is very small and provides no ground for disquiet.
