Paddington is served by the Edgware Road Employment Exchange and St. Marylebone Youth Employment Office, and the number of unemployed persons on the registers of those offices at 9th February, 1959, was 3,155 compared with 2,324 at 17th February, 1958.
§ 15. Mr. Parkinasked the Minister of Labour what proportion of juveniles in the Paddington area who left school last July have commenced apprenticeships or entered employment where they receive training for a skilled occupation; and how this figure compares with that of a year ago.
