88. Miss Vickers

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty how many men and women are employed in Her Majesty's Dockyard, Devonport, at the present time; how many were employed in 1957–58; and how many he estimates will be employed in 1960–61.

Mr. T. G. D. Galbraith

About 19,200 on 1st February, 1959, compared with an average of 19,600 in 1957–58. Numbers employed in 1960–61 will probably be slightly lower.
