§ Mr. Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, in view of the new evidence, details of which have been sent to him by the hon. Member for West Ham, North, regarding the need for the speedy removal from influential public positions in Germany of men who took an active part in carrying out Nazi policies, if he will now make further representations to the Federal German Government under the Potsdam Agreement.
§ Mr. R. AllanNo. As the hon. Member was informed on 16th February, it is for the Federal Government to conduct these negotiations and they are doing so.
