§ 69. Mr. Lagdenasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that investors who use the totalisator at horse-race meetings pay no tax, whilst investors who use the totalisator at greyhound meetings pay a tax which increases their collective loss by 166⅔ per cent.; and whether he will consider the introduction of a scheme whereby the tax is refunded in any case in which the investor sustains a loss.
