§ 73. Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will initiate a departmental inquiry to study the danger caused to road users and, in particular, to cyclists, by the use of steel plates and studs on road surfaces.
§ Mr. NugentI do not think that a departmental inquiry into this subject would reveal much that is not already known, but we are considering the issue of a circular to highway authorities which would embody the results of the Ministry's knowledge and experience of this subject.
