§ 82. Mr. Russellasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is aware that Section 17 (1) of the Shops Act, 1950, compels employers who employ part-time assistants in the afternoons only to give them one afternoon's holiday each week but makes no parallel provision for those employed only in the mornings; and if he will amend this Section of the Act so as to make it applicable to full-time employees only.
§ Mr. VosperMy right hon. Friend is aware of this point but he is not in a position to undertake to introduce the amending legislation required.
