§ Mr. MaclayThe total cost of the Lochportain road, including Cheesebay and Hoebeg branches, is£65,900. Some 3½ miles of road are required to link with the main island highway. The plans for this length of road are being worked out by the engineers and the cost of the works cannot yet be estimated.
