HC Deb 17 December 1959 vol 615 cc223-4W
103. Colonel Glyn

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what proportion of the total of bacon and ham consumed in Great Britain for the last convenient calendar month was produced in Great Britain; and if he will give the corresponding figure for the same month of 1958.

Mr. John Hare

Figures of supplies moving into consumption are only available for the United Kingdom. In October, 1959, 36 per cent. of these supplies were home produced compared to 41 per cent. in October, 1958.
