HC Deb 15 December 1959 vol 615 cc126-7W
67. Mr. Kimball

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware of the threat to local industry in North Lincolnshire by the dilapidation and deterioration of the jetty at Keadby on the River Trent; and if he will consult with the British Transport Commission with a view to having this jetty repaired to enable a quick return to normal trading.

Mr. Erroll

I am aware that the British Transport Commission closed this jetty on 28th November because it had become unsafe in spite of repeated repairs. I understand that the Commission are now considering whether they should rebuild it.
