§ 76. Mr. D. Priceasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what consideration he is giving to the establishment of a system of foreign investment guarantees in the United Kingdom to help British firms establish subsidiaries overseas.
Mr. AmoryPrivate overseas investment is already running at a high level. In view of our current commitments on capital account, it would be inadvisable at present to adopt new measures which might have the effect of stimulating it further.
