§ 78. Mr. Croslandasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what are the circumstances under which the allowance of duty-free cigarettes and tobacco to deep-sea fishermen has recently been reduced; why this was done; and if he will make a statement.
Mr. AmoryThere has been no reduction in the allowance and, therefore, the second part of the hon. Member's Question does not arise. There has been some tightening up in the control of claims, but this was merely procedural and has had no effect upon claims correctly made.
