asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he has now decided who will lead the British delegation to the Second Conference on the Law of the Sea next March.

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on Great Britain's representation and policy on the International Conference on the Law of the Sea to be held in Geneva on 17th March next.

As was explained to my hon. Friend the Member for Haltemprice (Mr. Wall) on 7th December, my right hon. and learned Friend hopes to make a statement concerning United Kingdom representation shortly.

Her Majesty's Government's policy is to achieve a fair and lasting international agreement on the breadth of the territorial sea and fishery limits.
