§ 99. Mr. Stonehouseasked the Minister of State for Commonwealth Relations, if he will make the whole of the material provided by the Special Preparatory 69W Committees to the Advisory Commission for Central Africa available to the public in good time so that its value may be assessed and referred to by other persons giving evidence to the Commission.
§ Mr. R. ThompsonThe results of the work of the Committee of Officials are not likely to be in our hands or those of the Governments in the Federation for some weeks yet. It is therefore premature to consider now whether they should be made available to persons other than the Governments and the Advisory Commission.
§ Mr. Stonehouseasked the Minister of State for Commonwealth Relations on whom will rest the duty of deciding, and on what basis the decision will be made, whether a branch of public opinion wishing to approach the Monckton Commission is representative or significant.
§ Mr. R. ThompsonThe decision will rest with the Commission itself.
