HC Deb 03 December 1959 vol 614 c145W
50 and 51. Mr. Hannan

asked the President of the Board of Trade (1) what encouragement he has given, in the interests of promoting trade, to the representation of Scottish industry at the British trade fair in New York; and if he will make a statement;

(2) what publicity is being given to Scottish industry by the Board of Trade stand at the British trade fair in New York.

Mr. Erroll

I understand that the Scottish Council (Development and Industry) will have a stand of its own at New York. In addition, Scottish industry will be well represented at the Fair as a substantial number of Scottish firms are taking space to display their products in the appropriate sections of the Fair. The Board of Trade stand will present the achievements of Britain as a whole.
