§ 52. Mr. Doddsasked the President of the Board of Trade what progress has been made in carrying out the terms of the Anglo-Soviet agreement on con- 146W sumer goods for the year ending 30th June, 1960; what are the principal goods involved; and what prospects there are for increasing this trade.
§ Mr. ErrollI would refer the hon. Member to the Answer which I gave on 12th November to my hon. Friend the Member for Twickenham (Mr. Gresham Cooke). I am sending the hon. Member particulars, which were published in the Press at the end of August, of the quotas that were agreed on both sides. We shall be in a better position to gauge the prospects for increasing the trade when we see how these quotas have worked out.
