Mr. M. MacMillanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware of the unsatisfactory condition of the Paible circular road in North Uist, serving five crofting townships; and what financial assistance he is prepared to offer towards the cost of its reconstruction.
§ Mr. MaclayI have not received any proposals front the county council for the improvement of this road, and I am therefore not able to say what financial assistance could be offered.
