HC Deb 12 November 1958 vol 595 c40W
77. Mr. Iremonger

asked the Minister of Labour if he will give an assurance that, in the course of considering with the British Employers' Confederation and the Trades Union Congress what provision can be made for putting the issues procedure which obtained under the Industrial Disputes Order on a permanent basis after the revocation of that Order, he will consult the principal associations of local authorities and the National Association of Local Government Officers.

Mr. Iain Macleod

I hope to hear shortly whether the members on my National Joint Advisory Council wish to take part in talks on "issues" procedure. Meanwhile, my senior officers are keeping the local authority interests informed of developments and there will be further discussions with them as may seem appropriate.
